Welcome to Fraser Coast Hydroblast!

For all your automotive parts restoration, cleaning and finishing.

So what is Hydroblasting & How is it done?

Basically speaking, hydroblasting is a metal finishing process that uses high pressure air and a slurry mixture of water and tiny glass beads to clean away years of grime, dirt, dust, rust, and/or corrosion.  Hydroblasting is an excellent way to clean, restore and polish any parts, items or components made of certain metals.  Using the latest technology from the US, Fraser Coast Hydroblast can rejuvenate your items to an extent that they appear almost new again.

NOTE: The blaster’s internal cabinet dimensions are approximately 850mm x 850mm.

As an example, a V8 engine block is easily cleaned while still allowing for manoeuvrability of the block within.

Why choose to clean your parts using hydroblasting?

Hydroblasting is far less abrasive than sand-blasting meaning that the process is not in any way destructive to the item being cleaned.  Magnesium is a perfect example in which hydroblasting is actually the best and safest method for cleaning and restoration as it keeps the part/item/component cool during the process.

What can be Hydroblasted?

  • Most alloy parts including: intakes & turbos, cylinder heads, engine blocks, alloy hubs and rims, brake callipers, throttle bodies, motorcycle barrels and forks…. Just to name a few.
  • Magnesium parts (hydroblasting is the safest method to adopt)
  • Steel – surface rust removal
  • Cast iron
